Teen Advisory Board

Did you know the Stillwater Library has a Teen Advisory Board?

We love teens at Stillwater Public Library! In addition to a Teen Library that has its own computer area and study room, we also have a Teen Advisory Board that meets monthly to talk about what SPL can do to make the library a place teens want to be. Through TAB, teens have a voice in materials selection and programming, while having a good time hanging out. Did we mention snacks?

"TAB" is open to teens in grades 7-12. If you know what you want to see in the library, have suggestions for titles to order or programming you want to help plan, put in an application today. Applications can be found in the teen library. TAB Meetings are generally the first Monday of the month through the school year from 5-6 pm.

There are many different ways you can be involved so give it a try! Examples of things the TAB has been involved with include helping kids with crafts or games at library events, decorating a bulletin board or creating art for the newly redesigned Teen Library, writing book reviews, talking about popular new books (and receive ARCs!), and sponsoring teen programming like October Read Month, Teen Tech Week. etc.
