You are welcome to place requests or holds on library items. Holds can be delivered to any Washington County Library as suits your needs. If all copies are checked out, holds go on a waiting list for the next available copy.
- In person at the Information Center
- By calling the Information Center at 651-275-4338, ext. 111.
- Using one of the catalog computers in the library.
- From the library’s web site.
A valid library card bar code and PIN is required.
Non-circulating items may not be requested. Certain DVDs are not requestable, including feature films on DVD released within the past two years, and blue-ray discs.
A maximum of 20 holds can made on a borrower’s account at any time. This limit includes items requested from outside of Washington County.
Notification / Pick Up
When the item becomes available, the person who placed the hold is emailed. Keep the library up-to-date with your correct e-mail address to ensure receipt. If the item is not checked out within one week, it is sent to the next person or returned.
Items on hold stay on the “Holds Pick Up” shelves next to the Checkout Desk. Holds are arranged alphabetically by the first three letters of the person’s last name.
