St. Croix Collection
The St. Croix Collection is the local history resource of Stillwater Public Library, Minnesota. Focus of the collection is the city of Stillwater, the St. Croix Valley, and Washington County, Minnesota. A variety of materials make up the collection, including books, photographs, maps, clippings file, audiovisual formats, and more. Additional resources are available in the regular reference and circulating collections of the library.
Using the St. Croix Collection
St. Croix Collection materials are available for use in the St. Croix Collection room only. The St. Croix Collection is accessible during all library hours, Monday – Saturday.
Local, family, and house history searches may be complex. Please be aware that library staff are limited in the amount of time they can devote to any individual’s question. We encourage those doing genealogy or house history work to visit when one of our volunteers is available. Teachers should be aware that many of the materials in the St. Croix Collection are not easy for younger students to use and that the support of a parent, teacher or other adult may be needed.
Visitors should call to verify volunteer availability on any given date. For more information about our local history resources and services, explore the links in this section. Contact the Information Center at 651-275-4338, ext. 111, or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
